The team surpassed their goal of raising 20-thousand dollars which will benefit the swim club and the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign.
“The event went amazing and we had a great turnout. so far we have raised $20,053 right now,” said Amber Piche, event co-ordinator.
The 24-hour swim was broken into 12, two-hour segments, with swimmers, aged six all the way up to 80 taking part right through the night.
Saturday’s event was the first time the swim club has put on the relay, but Piche said she would like to do it again next year.
