A disappointing weekend at the box office for the new Star Wars flick. ‘Solo‘ had the all-time worst opening for a live-action Star Wars movie. In it’s Memorial Day Weekend debut it brought in $83 million domestically, on the low end when you compare it to the opening of The Last Jedi. When that one hit theaters last December, it raked in $220 million on opening weekend.
Actor Idris Elba is a hunk but he’s signed on to star as the anything-but-hunky Hunchback of Notre Dame. It’s a project for Netflix. Elba will also direct and produce the film. It’s being described as a modern day re-telling of the story of Quasimodo and his romance with Gypsy, Esmerelda.
The trailer for the new Winnie the Pooh movie, Christopher Robin pulls at the heart strings. It’s is full of nostalgia, those little characters, those voices. Watch it HERE. Pooh leaves the Hundred Acre Wood to find his human friend who’s now an adult, working in London. Christopher Robin escorts Pooh back home and has some long overdue time with his friends before heading back to the hustle and bustle of grown-up life. That’s when Pooh and the gang jump in to action. The movie opens August 3rd. We can’t wait.
