No Thank-You Note
A blogger recently put it out there that it may be time to ‘end’ thank-you notes. Even if you don’t agree, if you’re an avid thank-you card writer, you must admit there is a very real pressure that befalls you once you’ve been on the receiving end of a kindness. The baby/bridal/birthday celebration ends and the clock starts ticking. You procrastinate, how long is too long to wait before sending out the thank you’s? We live in a digital age. We have many friends that send thank-you texts. How about a thank-you phone call? In our opinion, a low-maintenance thank-you that comes from the heart is better than an obligatory, written thank-you note that caused it’s sender undue stress. If writing a thank-you card is an easy and pleasing way for you to show appreciation then keep doing it. If it’s over-whelming, then consider the ‘no thank-you notes’ movement. You certainly won’t be alone and your conscience will thank you (no card required!)
