Disney and Marvel are celebrating an epic weekend at the box office. Avengers: Infinity War opened with $250 million in ticket sales, demolishing Disney’s previous record, set by Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The Force earned just shy of $248 million. Disney now holds 9 of the top 10 biggest openings in North American history. By comparison, the weekend’s second place flick ‘A Quiet Place’ earned $10.7 million
The Yodel Kid is officially a global superstar. 11-year-old Mason Ramsey became famous after yodeling at a Walmart in Illinois. Now, after performing at Coachella and The Grand Ole Opry, Ramsey has released his first single. ‘Famous’ dropped on Friday and it’s quickly become the most-streamed country song globally on Spotify. It’s also number one on itunes in the US and UK.
The Backstreet Boys have been teasing fans by promising a new album for a while now, but it sounds like a new single is finally coming. The band shared a video showing Kevin Richardson playing the piano, and fans assume that he is performing the melody from the group’s upcoming new single. Kevin also shared on his social media that the “new single” will arrive “to radio” in May.
All five members of ‘N Sync reunited this week to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It was the first time in nearly two years that Justin and the crew gathered for an event. It’s rare that a pop act receives the prestigious Hollywood Boulevard honor.
