You know the feeling when you find something that you didn’t even know you lost?
11am – 12:43pm: Okanagan Dodge (2690 Highway 97)
The very first Free Ride 103 minute remote was at Okanagan Dodge. I remember it well, as I was feeling a bit pressed for time because I took the Jeep for a wash. I arrived on time, I met last year’s Jeep winner Mark, and the contest started out with a bang.
Weeks later, the boss Russell texted me, “Do you know where the spare tire cover is?” I hadn’t seen it for a long time. I began looking through all of my photos to find out when was the last time I was seen with my protective friend. I felt like Guy Pierce from the film Memento. I went all the way back to the beginning, to Okanagan Dodge on Day 1, and it was not on the Jeep when I took a photo with Mark. We all figured it must’ve flown off while I was driving, or some rascally kids took it. Turns out it was Option C, it came off at the car wash! Now it’s back on the spare, advertising the contest, looking like a swimmer with a giant head squeezing into an Extra Small swimcap.
