Do you know that one person who would tempt the rain gods by leaving the roof off their convertible?
After popping in to a store and coming back outside to downpour, I will not be that friend who tempts soaking the seats in rain.

11am – 12:43pm: Kelowna Cycle (2949 Pandosy St)
Have you ever seen someone ripping uphill on a mountain bike and wondered how long they have been biking for to build that kind of stamina and endurance?  Today I discovered that it’s all a ruse!  Electric Pedal Assist is helping these riders!
It’s actually quite awesome.  I arrived early so I could test drive a Norco Sight VLT, and along with the pedal assistance, the shocks were so smooth; I wanted to find a trail!  And then the rain came, and I was glad I didn’t abandon my job to ride a bike.  Plus, the staff are mega friendly and like to rock out to the radio (Scott and I especially). I’m really looking forward to the next time I go back…

3 – 4:43pm: Wine Kitz Orchard Plaza (1980 Cooper Road)
I routinely have the top off the Jeep, so I am quick with the procedure to lock it in place. The final step for maximum top security is 2 screw-in caps that twist in the centre roll bar.  The amount of rain that was falling made me twist the roof on tight, otherwise the roof is fine for driving.  Thankfully Wine Kitz has a covered store front, I could set up my table and not get it soaked!  (Actually, they have 2 store fronts; one faces Cooper Road, and one faces the parking lot of Orchard Plaza.  I set up the Jeep facing the parking lot.)  Patrick, Rita and Justin always have a delicious spread for the contest-goers, as well as all their regular winos (I checked, they are all fine with me calling them winos.  They love wine! They’re winos.)  Seriously, if you want to get into making wine, Wine Kitz will make it better.
