Team and business leader passes away
Kelowna’s business and sporting communities are mourning the loss of one of its leaders.
Grant Sheridan, the president and general manager of the Kelowna Chiefs of the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League, and a partner in the Peacock Sheridan Group, died in Kelowna hospital after being diagnosed in March with bacterial meningitis
“It is with extreme sadness to say we lost Grant last evening. He passed away peacefully in his sleep at Kelowna General Hospital. Grant you made the world a better place. Rest easy my friend,” said the team posting on Facebook.
His bio says Sheridan was a graduate of the University of Calgary, and had a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Economics and a minor in Finance.
“Entering the world of finance straight out of University, Grant worked for an International Insurance firm until co-founding Peacock Sheridan.”
