Occasionally, I have decent ideas. Today I had one, and it paid off.
11am – 12:43pm: Okanagan Dodge (2690 Highway 97)
Our fifth time at the Jeep’s first home, “the big store on the highway.” This was the site of the first Free Ride stop back on May 21st. Since then, every time we’ve been back, Braden and the guys have set up a tent for me, to protect me from the elements. Sweet gesture, I know. It’s saved me from sunburns on a few occasions, and getting soaked as well. Today, I thought, “why don’t I bring my bright orange tent and pop that up instead of getting them to erect theirs?” and then I agreed, and added, “Yeah! The bright orange will probably attract a couple people’s eyes that are driving by. The black Jeep Wrangler stands out, but when it’s parked with a lot of other cars, it probably helps the cause to bring my tent.” “Sounds good.”
And low and behold, Carol, Mark, Adam and Jen all made a point of telling me that they spotted the tent from the road! Now, wouldn’t it be something if one of them won the Jeep at Rock the Lake, all because of the tent?
Yes. Yes it would.
