RCMP continue search for missing man
Police have renewed their plea for tips on a Nakusp man who hasn’t been seen for two weeks.
36-year-old Christopher Sanford was reported missing Aug. 5 after his pickup truck was found abandoned in Fauquier.
At that time, it was believed he had been travelling to the Kelowna area.
“Although RCMP detachments across the southern interior have reported receiving possible sightings of Christopher, police in those jurisdictions have not been able to substantiate any of those public sighting reports,” stated Cpl. Jaime Moffat of the Nakusk RCMP. “Our missing person’s investigation remains very active, and we strongly encourage anyone with any information to come forward to speak with police.”
Christopher Sanford is described as: a Caucasian male; 35 years (sic); 5 ft 10 in (178 cm); 150-160 lbs (68-72 kg); short brown hair; hazel eyes;
with a full sleeve tattoo on his left arm.
He was last seen wearing camo pants and a black t-shirt, possibly barefoot.
Police and Sanford’s family are very concerned for his health and well-being and are asking anyone with any information to contact their local police or the Nakusp RCMP at 250-265-3677.
Tip information can also be provided anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, or on-line at www.bccrimestoppers.com.
