Airport Tim’s gets upgrade
Upgrades to improve the customer experience at Tim Hortons are now underway at Kelowna International Airport (YLW).
The Tim Hortons located in the terminal before security screening will undergo improvements to revitalize the restaurant experience with new lighting, flooring, open-concept seating, and a re-designed counter and queueing area.
Construction is expected to be complete by mid-October.
Tim Hortons will remain open during construction, but with a reduced menu. Passengers travelling through YLW can continue to purchase coffee, tea, pastries such as muffins, cookies, timbits and donuts.
Hot food items such as bagels, sandwiches and soup can be purchased at the Airport Plaza location, a short five-minute walk from the terminal at Airport Plaza (located next to Esso).
“Our focus is on providing a great customer experience for everyone who comes to YLW,” said Phillip Elchitz, Senior Manager, Airport Operations. “Working in partnership with Skyway Group, these upgrades are just one way we are working to ensure we are meeting the needs of travellers now and well into the future.”
“We’re excited to see the Tim Hortons location before security get a new, refreshed look,” said Ed Wong, Owner, Skyway Group Kelowna. “The new open concept design will mean a more efficient queuing area, and overall an enhanced dining experience for customers.”
