Jessica from Big Brother Season 21 hangs out!
Season 21 of Big Brother is almost a wrap! Every week someone gets booted from the house and sent to jury, we get to ask them a few questions! Jessica didn’t get a ton of screen time but she won comps and made a big move early on that may have helped seal her fate in the game. She’s one of the few houseguests in jury who will ultimately help decide who wins the half million dollars! We caught up Jessica after the Double Eviction moments before she stepped into the jury house for a quick chat!
__________
Ara: Welcome to the show Jessica! On a scale of 1-10 how big a fan are you of this game?
Jessica: On a scale of 1-10, I would say I am about an 8. I’ve been watching since season 10 so I have quite a few seasons under my belt and I love, love watching the game but playing the game is way way different but I loved competing in some historical BB comps! I feel like it was just meant to be on the show because first time was a charm!
Ara: Think back for a sec and fill us in on what you did to prepare before heading into this crazy game?
Jessica: I definitely re-watched a couple seasons and I did youtube a lot of things from past houseguests on what to bring and what not to bring, what to expect and that was pretty much it.
Ara: Alliances form quickly in the Big Brother house and if you’re not in power, it’s tough to make big moves. You made a big move when you were in power nominating Jackson and Jack, then you won Veto, then you find out you’re being left out of conversations, so where do you wish you would have zigged where you zagged later in the game to have moved further towards the win??
Jessica: I think I probably would have kept being a little more authoritative. It’s really hard if you’re not the type of person who generally asks a lot of questions. I don’t like to pry into people’s conversations. I’m not as aggressive of a player that I thought I would be. I didn’t want to be looked at as a threat, but I really wish in my time as HOH, I could have aligned myself with people during that time. I think it’s better to create alliances when you’re in a position of power.
Ara: Why has it been soooooo tough to break up Michie and Holly as a power couple?!?
Jessica: Good question. They’re good liars!! Obviously they have been in a position of power for weeks. I think the cards were in their favor. They played victim for a very long time and made people feel bad for them. They made it look like they were being ostracized when they were actually disassociating themselves. They’re a strong couple.
Ara: What did you think of Zingbot’s Jessica zing?
Jessica: Ugh, that stupid zing! Zingot needs a new job. Sometimes, he’s just way off on his zings. It’s not just mine. But hey, if that’s all that he could come up with, I’m good. If that’s the meanest thing he can call me, I’ll take it!
Ara: Why was getting Nick out more important than sending Christie to jury?
Jessica: Nick was a target of mine for awhile and he was great socially and he was great mentally and physically. Between the comp beasts, he was the whole package. He definitely would have won the 500K hands down. He was gunning after me and he told everybody so it didn’t make sense for me to lose an ally and keep a threat.
Ara: Who’s your all time favourite Big Brother player and do you think you did them proud in the house?
Jessica: I have so many!! I loved watching Dan play. I love Jeff and I love Paul and those are all three very different players. But out of everybody, I think I played more like Jeff. He was very straight forward and was loyal to who he was loyal to and so I hope he would be proud of me. Dan and Paul would probably laugh because it was so different from their gameplay. I guess I tried to mimick Jeff’s game even though he didn’t make it too far!
Ara: What non-cliche advice do you have for anyone applying for future seasons of Big Brother?
Jessica: Oh boy haha. Everybody has been told everything in the book! I would say, always know what makes you different and why you want to play this game. And have a TON of interesting stories. It’s like a needle in a haystack so you have to stick out and be different. You have to really show what makes you different through your experiences and your stories.
Ara: Any other Reality TV show you’d like to try? If so, which one and why?
Jessica: I would actually love to do The Amazing Race. I would really enjoy doing because it’ll be very different. It’s still more competitive but definitely doable and i’d love to do it with someone who can bring the beast out in me. I’d love to play with someone like Kat or even someone like Nicole or Christie. Other than that, I can’t think of any others but I’m open to suggestions! I will never say no to something…unless it’s Survivor! Haha!
