Police look to find owners of stolen items
RCMP in Salmon Arm located a stolen vehicle, which led to recovering stolen property.
An Audi Q7, which was stolen from Richmond last month, was located this week, leading to the arrest of a man and woman from B.C.
“The male and female were held in custody and will appear in court in Salmon Arm. Both have a record for property crime offences. The male had been released in late October on another property charge and was not to be in a vehicle without the registered owner present. The female was also on court ordered conditions in relation to property crime offences. Both are known to the police,” said Staff Sgt. Scott West.
A search of the property where the stolen vehicle was located uncovered additional property that the RCMP believe is stolen.
“Salmon Arm RCMP members have seized this property and are seeking to locate the owners,” West added.
The property includes: two Stihl chain saws in their cases, two Stihl weedeaters and various power tools. A Giant mountain bike, Brodie mountain bike, Kona mountain bike, Trek mountain bike, CCM mountain bike, a set of Ping golf clubs, a Mariner outboard motor and Zenith binoculars.
