Snowfall warnings have been issued for the Central Okanagan and Shuswap, but at this point, not for the North Okanagan.
Environment Canada says snow will begin this evening, and will be heavy at times in the warning areas, and then change to showers Friday morning.
“An approaching Pacific frontal system will track inland later today and stall across the southern interior tonight,” said an advisory from the weather agency.
Amounts of at least 10 centimetres are expected in West Kelowna, Peachland, Sicamous and Grand Forks, with accumulations of near five cm’s for other areas.
The Okanagan Connector from Kelowna to Merritt is forecast to get 15 to 25 cm’s by late Friday afternoon.
