Equipment and vehicles recovered from rural property
Two Kelowna men are facing theft-related charges after police recovered more than $100,000 worth of stolen vehicles and heavy equipment from a Central Okanagan property.
“On January 6, the Kelowna RCMP Street Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant at a rural property on Postill Lake Road,” said Const. Lesley Smith. “Two males were located in the area and arrested without incident. Police recovered two all-terrain vehicles, a pickup truck, a flat deck trailer, and an excavator. Officers determined that all property had been recently stolen from Kelowna and Salmon Arm areas. The value of the recovered property is estimated to exceed $100,000.”
The two suspects, Christopher Brazeau, 38, and Paul Floer, 27, are facing numerous charges including possession of property obtained by crime over $5000.
“This investigation highlights the dedication of the Kelowna Street Enforcement Unit and their persistence in identifying and charging property crime offenders” stated Cpl. Guillaume Tanguay of the Kelowna Target Team. “It also emphasizes the importance of the public reporting all crimes to police.”
Police began an investigation into a group of known property offenders believed to be active in commercial thefts and break and enters in November 2019.
