Kelowna fire crews had to use their ATV unit to reach a fire at the base of Mount Baldy this afternoon.
Several calls to 911 came in around 12:30 p.m.
Water from the creek was used to put out the small blaze which was about 100 by 60 feet in size.
“Access to the fire was gained at the end of McCurdy Place using our ATV unit,” said platoon captain John Kelly. “The fire is suspicious in nature.”
KFD responded with two engines, two bush units, a water tender, ATV, command vehicle and fourteen personnel.
