New B.C. gas price site goes online

The B.C. Utilities Commission has launched a website to track gas and diesel prices across the province.

gaspricesbc.ca also provides information on how gas prices compare to other cities across Canada, as well as publicly available data on the makeup of gas prices in B.C.

It’s expected to help make oil and gas companies more transparent.

The website stems from legislation passed last year after a review found B.C. drivers were paying the highest prices for gas in the country. (Canadian Press/News1130)
