Company gives out 20,000 bottles of hand sanitizer to frontline Covid heroes
Grab a bottle and help fight the battle.
That’s what Okanagan Spirits Craft Distillery is asking its customers to do as it helps in the fight against the spread of Covid-19.
The local family business has been able to produce and donate over 20,000 bottles of sanitizer to Okanagan frontline medical and emergency service heroes to date.
“Last week in an initiative to achieve an even greater positive impact in the fight against COVID-19 we decided to launch our “harness your inner superhero initiative” which is a call to action for the general public, in which they help flatten the curve by powering our initiative though the purchasing of our gins, whiskies and vodkas, so we can use that money to produce and donate more bottles of sanitizer to the Okanagan Valley’s frontline medical heroes,” said CEO Tyler Dyck.
“This Superhero program not only has a multiplier effect on the amount of sanitizer we are able to produce and donate daily, but it also gets our sanitizer into the general public’s hands as well, so you can better protect yourself and the environment around you and your loved ones”

Dyck said their donated bottles of sanitizer have gone to frontline heroes ranging from ambulance and health care workers, to fire halls, police detachments, liquor stores, postal service workers and gas stations.
Dyck said the list grows daily and they are doing our best to keep up.
“We have targeted these important individuals and sectors of the population because if we can keep them safe and healthy they will be there to care for the rest of us in the event that we fall ill and need their expertise. It’s where we believe we can have the most positive affect for our entire local community’s health and well-being.”
Dyck added his family hopes that with blanket coverage of the Okanagan it might help flatten the curve of COVID-19 so that we can all go back to the Okanagan that we love in the shortest possible fashion.
