Drugs, cash found at Kelowna home
On Wednesday, Apr. 29, officers from the Kelowna RCMP Special Enforcement Unit (SET), assisted by other units of the Street Enforcement Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence on the 2300 block of Lillooet Crescent in Kelowna.
This warrant was related to an active criminal investigation into suspected drug trafficking in the area.
“During the search, police seized a quantity of suspected illicit drugs, believed to be fentanyl, methamphetamine, psilocybin, and cocaine,” said Cpl. Nick Brodeur NCO-in-charge of the Special Enforcement Team.
He said a significant amount of cash was also found.
Two people were initially taken into custody during the execution of the search warrant.
The Crown Prosecution Service will decide on charges.
