British Columbia has announced nine new cases of Covid-19, meaning there are now 244 active cases in the province, with 37 of those people in hospital.
There are no new cases in the Interior Health region, which has been the case since Saturday.
One more person has died from the virus, in the Fraser Health region, bringing the total to 162.
There have been no new health-care outbreaks. In total, 14 long-term care or assisted-living facilities and one acute-care unit have active outbreaks.
The provincial state of emergency has been extended another two weeks with Premier John Horgan saying there is “no likely end in sight,” even though the province has been easing some restrictions aimed at slowing the spread of the coronavirus.
