UPDATE: Police locate missing person

RCMP say the woman who was reported missing on June 15 has been located.
“The Salmon Arm RCMP is pleased to confirm the 29-year-old woman reported missing has been located, and she is safe and sound. Thanks to the media and public for your assistance,” said Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey of the RCMP Southeast District.

RCMP are requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing woman, last seen in the Salmon Arm area.
Investigators have been able to determine that 29-year-old Allison Askoty may have been last seen on June 12. Since her disappearance, police have followed up on several leads and possible sightings, but Allison remains missing.
“There is nothing to indicate foul play at this time and RCMP believe she is in Salmon Arm, Vernon or possibly even the Kelowna area. Police are very concerned for Allison’s health and well-being and friends and family report that it is out of character for her to be out of contact for this long,” said Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey, District Advisory NCO (Media Relations), Southeast District.
