The Kelowna Fire Department responded Sunday afternoon after a 911 call reported that a cyclist had fallen from a mountain bike in the Myra Canyon Park at the end of Stewart Road East.
An engine, command vehicle and Gator (ATV) were dispatched to the scene.
The first arriving crew was able to gain access to the patient on foot. It was determined that the Gator would be needed to extract the patient from the area.
“The patient was assessed, treated, packaged and then transported from the trail to a waiting ambulance,” said John Kelly, Platoon Captain, Kelowna Fire Department.
