UPDATE Lost ring story has happy ending
UPDATE Aug. 20
It’s not quite a glass slipper, but Kelowna RCMP did manage to find the finger a lost ring belonged on.
On Wednesday, RCMP had a gold ring turned into the Kelowna detachment from a downtown business.
The ring was quite distinctive, and had an engraved message on the inside.
Just a few hours after the notification, a local man came to the detachment to claim the ring. He had lost his wedding ring in the middle of June 2020 and was delighted to have it back.
“The ring has been on his finger for more than 40 years and we’re delighted that it is back where it belongs,” said Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy.
