Kyllo, Milobar among MLAs getting new critic roles for B.C. Liberals
A number of Interior MLAs have new critic portfolios as B.C. Liberal Leader Andrew Wilkinson shuffled his shadow cabinet.
Kamloops-North Thompson MLA Peter Milobar moves from Environment to Labour. Shuswap MLA Greg Kyllo takes Milobar’s former Environment file.
Milobar’s Kamloops-South Thompson counterpart, Todd Stone, retains his previous role in Municipal Affairs and Housing.
Penticton’s Dan Ashton is in charge of Agri-Tourism, Kelowna West’s Ben Stewart deals with Trade, and Kelowna-Lake Country’s Norm Letnick remains the critic for Health, Long Term Care and Seniors.
Vernon Monshee MLA Eric Foster is not on the list.
Fraser-Nicola MLA Jackie Tegart is now the critic for Economic Development, Competitiveness, Trade and Technology, with a focus on Regional Economic Development and Small Business.
Cariboo North MLA Coralee Oakes will move to Emergency Preparedness. Cariboo-Chilcotin MLA Donna Barnett was not given a shadow cabinet position as she is not seeking re-election.
The changes come as whispers persist in Victoria that there may be an election call as early as this fall.
