Kelowna has been a Liberal stronghold for many years.
In Kelowna-Lake Country, Norm Letnick is seeking a fourth term for the Liberals, Ben Stewart is looking to win his second term in Kelowna-West and business person Renee Merrified is the new Liberal candidate in Kelowna-Mission, taking over for the retiring Steve Thomson.
The Kelowna area ridings are all expected to stay Liberal, but in addition to Vernon-Monashee, there are three other toss up ridings in our region according to 338Canada.
One is Kamloops-North Thompson where Liberal incumbent Peter Milobar is facing a strong challenge from the NDP’s Sadie Hunter.
Boundary-Similkameen is also a toss up in the race to replace the retiring Linda Larson of the Liberals with Liberal Petra Ventimilla and the NDP’s Roly Russell in a tight battle.
Columbia River-Revelstoke is also a tight race according to Canada 338, with incumbent Liberal Doug Clovechok possibly trailing New Democrat Nicole Cherlet.
