The Kelowna Fire Department was kept busy with two structure fires on Friday night.
The first was inside a two-story business in the 3000 block of Appaloosa Road. The upper-level sustained smoke damage and the cause of the fire was oily rags in an open container.
After that, six goats, one lamb, and one chicken escaped a small barn fire on Begbie Road.
That was caused by a heat lamp that one of the animals knocked over.
