Auto dealer drives campaign for food bank
Kelowna Chrysler has partnered with Secure Rite Mobile Storage in a campaign to generate donations for the Central Okanagan Food Bank.
“We know that this year more than ever people in the Central Okanagan are going to be in need this Christmas. That is why we are teaming up to have a Food Bank drive hosted on location at Kelowna Chrysler at 2440 Enterprise Way on both sides of the street by the old bus station,” said Mitch Michel, Parts Manager.
The drive will officially run December 7 through 23, but donations will be accepted before and after the event from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. Mon – Fri, and 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday.
During the event look for the big Secure-Rite shipping container on the corner of their lot. Donations can be dropped off securely inside their buildings or they can arrange for contactless drop off.
The Central Okanagan Food Bank is forecasting about 2,500 Christmas hampers will be distributed to families in need this December alone, and people are asked to find it in their heart to help those in need.
