Video of assault suspect released
Kelowna RCMP has released surveillance video of the suspect in stranger assault from an incident last year.
On November 28, 2020, just before 5:00 p.m, a woman was walking in the area of Dodd Road and Bach Road in Kelowna when an unknown man ran up and grabbed her in an inappropriate manner before fleeing on foot.
“This was done in the presence of two other people that the woman was walking with. The man was last seen in the area of Hemlock Road,” said Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy, media relations officer.
The suspect is described as:
- Caucasian male
- approximately 6 feet tall
- thin build
He was last seen wearing:
- black non medical face mask
- grey jacket with the hood up
- blue jeans
Noseworthy said they are releasing the video in the hopes that someone will recognize the man and come forward.
“The victim was uninjured in this unprovoked assault, but was extremely shaken. If you know who this might be, we are asking that you contact investigators immediately.”
Anyone with information is asked to call the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
