Kelowna council has approved a plan to allow for one company to exclusively operate an e-bikeshare service in the city.
Council felt keeping it to one permit for shared e-bikes will make it more attractive to potential service providers.
City staff are recommending the e-scooter share market remain competitive.
Meantime, Kelowna council has approved a development permit for a townhouse proposal at the corner of Ethel Street and Laurier Avenue.
The six-unit townhome features three two-bedroom and three three-bedroom units.
Two large trees on the property will be preserved through a covenant on title.
