RCMP looking for video and witnesses to shooting incident
Kelowna RCMP is hoping the public can help to track down the person responsible for a brazen daytime shooting in Kelowna.
At around 12:35 p.m. on Monday (Mar. 29), a man was shot in the parking lot of Global Gym, and was treated at hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
The unidentified male shooter fled the crime scene in a silver four-door sedan northbound on Burtch Road.

At around 12:55 p.m., a witness reported a grey four-door Chevrolet Malibu abandoned and burning on the shoulder of Longhill Road in the Glenmore area.
“Investigators believe the Malibu is associated to the shooting, and that it was driven northbound on Glenmore Drive from the scene of the shooting before being abandoned and set ablaze,” Cpl Jocelyn Noseworthy said.
Investigators are looking to speak to witnesses, drivers with dash camera footage and Glenmore area residents with any video surveillance footage in relation to the shooting.
“Kelowna RCMP is seeking public assistance for information related to the shooting or the suspect vehicle in order to advance the ongoing investigation,” Noseworthy said. “In particular, we are looking to speak to anyone who was traveling in these areas, including the North Glenmore area between 12:35 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. on March 29.”
