Dry weather could come to end this weekend

The tinder-dry grasslands and forests around the Okanagan could get some relief this weekend.

After a few months of way less than usual precipitation, the forecast is calling for rain on Saturday and Sunday along with cooler temperatures.

Vernon had just 2 millimetres of rain in March, compared to the usual 23.

Kelowna had 3 millimetres of rain last month, well less than the normal 22.
