Man found dead in orchard

RCMP and the Coroner’s Service are investigating the discovery of a man’s body in a Kelowna orchard.

On Tuesday, June 15, 2021 just after 11:00 p.m., RCMP was called to assist the BC Emergency Health Services at an orchard on Spiers Road after a Kelowna man in his 60s was found deceased at that location.

The police investigation determined the man was working in the orchard at the time of his death.

“Criminality is not suspected in this incident,” Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy said. “WorkSafeBC and the BC Coroners Service are now conducting concurrent investigations to determine how and by what means the deceased came to his death.”
