The Central Okanagan Regional Board has approved a new management plan for the 92-hectare Mission Creek Regional Park in Kelowna.
The plan was created with public and stakeholder involvement and provides a long-term vision to help guide future park development and management opportunities.
The plan estimates about $3-million in capital park development and asset renewal costs (subject to budget approvals) over the next 20 years and includes:
- Management zones and carrying capacities
- A conceptual park development plan
- Park management goals and objectives
- A 20-year phased implementation plan
