B.C. Covid update: 123 new cases over the weekend
B.C. had 123 new COVID-19 cases over the weekend.
That includes 46 on Saturday, 47 on Saturday and 30 today.
Interior Health had 42 of the new infections and now has 167 active cases.
There are currently 658 active cases in the province, with 66 people in hospital and 14 in intensive care.
In the past 72 hours, no new deaths have been reported, for an overall total of 1,760.
The new/active cases include:
* 38 new cases in Fraser Health
* Total active cases: 175
* 38 new cases in Vancouver Coastal Health
* Total active cases: 257
* 42 new cases in Interior Health
* Total active cases: 167
* no new cases in Northern Health
* Total active cases: 30
* five new cases in Island Health
* Total active cases: 22
* no new cases of people who reside outside of Canada
* Total active cases: seven
As of today, more than 5.7 million COVID vaccines have been administered in B.C.
More than seventy-eight per cent (78.8%, or 3,652,759 individuals) of eligible people 12 and older have received their first dose and 44.6 per cent (2,068,450) have had two doses.
In addition, 79.9 per cent (3,455,472) of all eligible adults have received their first dose and 47.7 per cent (2,064,190) received their second dose.
