COVID-19 boosters coming to Okanagan Indian Band

Okanagan Indian Band members will soon be able to get a COVID-19 vaccine booster shot.

The third doses are being delivered to OKIB to be administered to individuals aged 12 and over.

The boosters can only be given if the time between the primary series of shots and the third dose is at least six months.

Both Moderna and Pfizer vaccines will be available, and people wishing to get their third jabs are asked to bring their original vaccine card and their Personal Health Number to their appointments.

The shots will be administered at the drop-in clinic at the BlueBird Building at 70 Head of the Lake Rd.

The clinic will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 30, from 2 to 7 p.m. on Dec. 1, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 2.
