Trudeau makes quick stop in Okanagan
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau visited the Central Okanagan Monday for what turned out to be mostly a series of photo-ops at three locations.
Trudeau visited a child care facility in Lake Country, then took a tour of the BC Tree Fruits Cooperative in Kelowna where he purchased some cherries, and ended his visit at a cherry farm in Summerland.
The PM did not hold a media conference while here, did not make any announcements and took no questions from the media.
It was Trudeau’s first public stop in Kelowna since 2017.

Six years ago, we created the Canada Child Benefit to make sure families have the support they need. And on Wednesday, this tax-free benefit is increasing again to help you even more – and to give kids, like the ones I met at @BGCOkanagan today, the best possible start in life. pic.twitter.com/iGiLm14H62
