First snowfall hits Okanagan Connector

A dusting of snow has fallen on the highway west of Kelowna.
As of 9 a.m., DriveBC webcams showed snow along the sides of the road and on the median of Highway 97C at Pennask Summit and near Elkhart Lake Recreation Site.
As of time of publication, there was no snow on the road itself.

By law, Mud and Snow (M+S) or winter tires with the three-peaked mountain and snowflake are required for all passenger vehicles on Highway 97C until April 30.
Large commercial vehicles must carry chains on the highway.
