The B.C. government says a record number of people got flu shots in the first 17 days of this year’s influenza immunization campaign.
The Health Ministry said more than 630,000 people received their flu shots, the highest number recorded in that time period.
The province added about 43 per cent of those who received their flu shots got their COVID-19 fall boosters at the same time.
The health ministry said more than 1.9-million doses of vaccine will be distributed during the 2022-23 flu shot campaign, which launched two weeks earlier than usual on October 11.
