New site for immunization clinic
An immunization clinic for children in Kelowna is on the move.
Interior Health says the clinic for children aged six months to 11 years located at Capri Centre, will be permanently moving to the Kelowna Community Health and Services Centre at 505 Doyle Ave beginning Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2022.
The change is being made due to water damage.
Anyone with an appointment at the Capri Centre should go to the Community Health and Services Centre at their appointment time.
The immunization clinic is providing both COVID and influenza vaccines. People with an appointment should receive a notification indicating the location change.
Families can book an appointment through the Get Vaccinated system. Only one appointment is needed and the whole family can get their COVID and influenza vaccines.
Immunization appointments for people 12 and older are available at community pharmacies and are booked through the Get Vaccinated system.
“More appointments are continuously being added and we encourage people to check back regularly if they are not able to book an appointment,” a media release from Interior Health stated.
