RCMP seeing more calls in downtown
Kelowna RCMP are seeing fewer calls for service this year, but more in the downtown area.
Supt. Kara Triance updated city council on public safety and crime data between April 1 to September 30, 2022.
Triance told council increases this year have been noted in downtown disorder calls, business break and enters, bike thefts, and robberies — all consistent with pre-pandemic levels.
Reported cases of domestic violence and assault decreased.
