RCMP hosting second Coffee with a Cop
Mounties in Kelowna will be available to meet with members of the public Thursday (Jan. 19) as part of its Coffee with a Cop initiative.
People will be able to sit down and have a cup of java and open discussions with local RCMP members from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at The Jammery in the Kelowna Crossing Shopping Centre on Highway 97.
The main focus of the event is to break down barriers and generate meaningful conversations between local police and members of the public.
“Our officers really enjoyed Coffee with a Cop last week and are looking forward to tomorrow’s event,” said Const. Mike Della-Paolera, media relations officer with the Kelowna RCMP.
“Last week we had some really good conversations with members of the public and it was nice to see their comfort level when speaking with us.”
