Crews are responding to a 250 millimeter (10 inch) water main break at the corner of Water Street and Boyce Crescent in Kelowna this morning (Apr. 6).
“There is extensive damage to the roadway as well as flooding at a handful of properties in the area. Crews have been on scene since 5 a.m. and restoration services are on-site for flood repair,” a city news release stated.
The watermain is expected to be repaired by the end of the day, however restoration work will continue throughout the weekend.
There are no traffic impacts at this time, but residents are asked to keep away from the area while crews repair the damage.
