UPDATE: RCMP investigate two suspicious deaths

RCMP in Kelowna are investigating the suspicious deaths of two people in the Upper Mission area.
Police received a 911 call around 9 p.m. on Thursday, June 8, from a residence in the 400 block of Swan Drive.
Officers along with the BC Ambulance Service attended and two people were located deceased in the home.
“This is an isolated incident and there is no risk to public safety,” Ryan Watters, RCMP spokesperson, said.
Mounties say the investigation is in the early stages and is being led by the Kelowna Serious Crimes Unit.
The BC Coroners Service is also conducting a parallel investigation into the circumstances.
“It will be a highly complex and sensitive case with no further updates at this time,” Watters said.

RCMP are investigating what they call a serious crime at a residence in the Upper Mission neighborhood of Kelowna.
Police are not releasing any details, but add there are no concern for the public’s safety.
“This investigation is in its early stages and RCMP are also asking the public to stay away from the area,” Const. Mike Della-Paolera stated.
