Fatal collision on forest service road

A motorbike operator died in a two vehicle collision east of Kelowna.
RCMP say on Friday, June 23, at around 8:20 p.m., officers were called to assist BC Emergency Health Services with a crash about five kilometres up Postill Lake Forest Service Road.
“Investigators determined there was a collision between a pickup truck travelling eastbound up the forest service road by a lone driver and a dirt bike travelling westbound down the forest service road with a single rider,” Cpl. Michael Gauthier said.
The rider of the dirt bike, identified as 30-year-old Patrick Tur of Kelowna, died of the injuries he suffered.
The Kelowna municipal traffic criminal crash investigation team have taken conduct of the investigation.
No arrests have been made.
