The Kelowna courthouse was evacuated after police say a threat was received.
RCMP responded to the 1300 block of Water Street around 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 5.
As a precautionary measure, police cordoned off the area, and closed down Water Street to both vehicle and pedestrian traffic from the Queensway Bus Loop to Cawston Avenue.
Police officers along with BC Sheriffs evacuated the courthouse as a precaution while the investigation unfolded.
Some time after that, the building was cleared and employees were allowed back in the building.
No word what the threat was as police investigate.
