Police are hoping the public can provide tips to further the investigation into the Canada Day wildfire on Knox Mountain.
Mounties suspect the fire was human caused and are asking members of the public if they witnessed any suspicious activity at the top or around the base of the mountain between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. on July 1.
Anyone with information related to the investigation is asked to the Kelowna Regional Detachment non-emergency line at 250-762-3300 and reference the file number 2023-37249.
About 448 properties were ordered to evacuate due to the fire that ended up being brought under control the next day.
