COVID outbreak at KGH

A COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at Kelowna General Hospital.
Interior Health identified the outbreak in Unit 4A of KGH Thursday, Sept. 28.
The health authority told Vernon Matters that, as of Friday afternoon, there were eight patient infections.
No deaths had been associated with the outbreak and no staff members had been infected.
KGH has implemented enhanced cleaning, disinfection and use of personal protection equipment, as well as isolating the infected individuals and limiting visitors to reduce the risk of further spread.
