The cause of a house fire in Kelowna Wednesday morning is under investigation.
Crews responded to the 900 block of Quigley Road around 4 a.m., and once on the scene, they found heavy smoke coming from a window on the second floor.
The fire response was upgraded to a second alarm.
“Fire crews were able to quickly knock down the fire, and complete a search to ensure all occupants were out of the building. The fire was contained to the initial home and did not spread to other nearby homes,” Fire Captain Micah Volk said.
RCMP, BC Ambulance Service and Fortis also responded to the incident.
