Regular RCMP officers and the South East District Emergency Response Team responded to an incident outside a business in the 300-block of Highway 33 of Kelowna Thursday morning (Feb. 1).
Mounties say one person was arrested, with few other details being released.
“The investigation is sensitive in nature, remains ongoing and no further details regarding what our officers are investigating will be provided at this time. It is important to know there is no concern for public safety,” RCMP Cpl. Michael Gauthier said.
Gauthier said the incident, which took place just before 10 a.m., did not directly involve the nearby financial institution nor any of the surrounding businesses.
“When information regarding this investigation becomes available to the public, it will be provided,” the corporal added.
