Police incident on Rail Trail

RCMP are advising of a police incident by the rail trail in Kelowna which is expected to continue for several hours.

Police said at 9:50 a.m. Wednesday, they are engaged in the incident in the area from Leathhead Road to Dilworth Drive.

“There is no risk to the public at this time, however, the RCMP ask people to stay out of the area of the rail trail until further notice,”Const. Mike Della Paolera said

The RCMP expect to be on-scene for the remainder of the day, with no further details provided.
