Update: Emergency Response Team helps make arrests
UPDATE 3 p.m.
RCMP responded to an incident on Gillard Creek Forest Service Road Friday morning, and shortly after, officers responded to a related incident on Gibson Road.
Based on the nature of incidents, the Emergency Response Team was brought in to assist, and some suspects were arrested.
“The investigation is still on-going and thankfully, all outstanding suspects have been arrested,” Sergeant Judith Bertrand said.

Police on scene of unfolding event
Police are dealing what they call an “unfolding” incident in the Kelowna area.
RCMP say at around 8 a.m. on Friday, March 1, police officers from the Kelowna detachment responded to an incident in the 5700 block of Gillard Creek Forest Service Road.
Media relations officer, Sgt. Judith Bertrand, said as of 10:50 a.m., the event was still unfolding.
“We are asking for the public to stay away from the area as there are suspects outstanding,” Bertrand said. “Further information will be provided as it becomes available.”
